Objective: Jump into your own cartoon adventure and try to stop that nefarious evil-doer Skeemin’ Plotz before it’s too late!

Crazy Train by Doldrick’s Escape Rooms in the Orlando area of Florida is one of our all-time favorite escape rooms. We highly recommend this room, which has a Fun Factor of 10: the concept is compelling, the set is brilliant, and the puzzles are well-varied and elegant. This game has memorable moments that bring us joy just thinking about it. We were smiling the entire time, and even though this room is not meant to be replayable, we would be more than happy to experience the world of Crazy Train again.
The art direction is brilliant. It literally felt like we had been transported into a black-and-white cartoon. Doldrick’s Escape advances that narrative…by lierally providing a voice-over narrative that gave us the feeling that we are watching our own scripted cartoon—only it isn’t scripted. We get to enjoy solving puzzles or completing tasks to get the train moving and track down the trickster aptly named Skeemin’ Plotz.
As puzzles were solved and tasks completed, additional sections of the train opened up for us to explore - but we always had to keep in mind the full train at all times.
A glimpse inside the world of Crazy Train!
We particularly enjoy escape rooms that last longer than 60 minutes, so we really appreciated the 75 minutes that Doldrick’s Escape Rooms gave us to explore the train and deal with Skeemin’ Plotz. This room delivers a fantastic set and immersive story, but it also provides outstanding tactile and clever puzzles!
There was one task toward the end of the adventure that we talk about to this very day—a memorable interaction that we have not seen in other escape rooms. So no spoilers here—but kudos to Doldrick’s Escape Rooms for operationalizing iconic cartoon moments!
We highly recommend this room - and congratulate Doldrick’s for making the TERPECA Top 100 in 2023 - Crazy Train finished number 50 in the world despite being open less than two months before the 2023 cutoff!
